Terms of Service
Last updated: February 24, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Docmaid ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Docmaid is a web application that converts Markdown documents — including text, tables, code blocks, and Mermaid diagrams — into formatted Google Docs stored in your Google Drive. The Service uses the Google Docs API and Google Drive API on your behalf after you authenticate with Google OAuth.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
4. Your Google Account
In order to use Docmaid, you must sign in with a Google account. You grant Docmaid permission to access the following Google services on your behalf:
- Google Docs — to create and format new documents from your Markdown input.
- Google Drive (drive.file) — to access only the files created by Docmaid. We do not access any other files in your Google Drive.
You can revoke this access at any time via your Google Account permissions page.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
- Create or distribute illegal, harmful, or offensive content.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
- Abuse the Google APIs in a manner that violates Google's Terms of Service.
- Use the Service for automated bulk document creation in a way that constitutes API abuse.
6. Intellectual Property
The content you convert using Docmaid remains your property. Docmaid does not claim any ownership over your documents or their contents. The Docmaid application itself, including its code, design, and branding, is owned by Docmaid and protected by intellectual property laws.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Docmaid shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services including Google APIs and Neon database. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, third parties, or the Service itself.
You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your account data by contacting us.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation or, if necessary, binding arbitration.
